Produce files people keep: living documents, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files, images and QR codes.

Tool	What it does
`write_canvas`	Creates or revises a shared canvas document that the person sees update live and can edit in place; their edits are shown to the agent on its next turn.
`generate_document`	Builds a Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx) or Excel (.xlsx) file from a structured spec and returns it as a download.
`generate_image`	Generates an image from a text prompt.
`qr_code`	Makes a QR code (SVG) for a URL or short text, shown inline in chat.

`write_canvas`

Creates or revises a shared canvas document that the person sees update live and can edit in place; their edits are shown to the agent on its next turn.

How an agent gets it. Added automatically on chat and automation runs.

format: "slides" makes each ## heading a slide; document is a flowing document.
Web images in the Markdown are fetched once and stored as asset: links (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP; no SVG).
The Document Author is built around it.

`generate_document`

Builds a Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx) or Excel (.xlsx) file from a structured spec and returns it as a download.

How an agent gets it. Declare it in the agent's tools: list.

template names a workspace document template, Trellaris for the built-in deck, or none. Omitted, the workspace's default applies.
For decks, a template's own sample slides are dropped unless keep_template_content is true.
Carried by the Assistant and Deep Research.

`keep_template_content`	boolean		pptx only: keep the template's own slides and append after them. Default false — the template's sample slides are dropped and only the generated slides remain (its theme/layouts are always kept).

`generate_image`

Generates an image from a text prompt. In chat it appears inline; while editing a document it returns the Markdown to place it there.

How an agent gets it. Declare it in the agent's tools: list.

Sizes 1024×1024, 1792×1024 (wide) or 1024×1792 (tall).
Never a real company's logo or a real person's likeness. For data, use a chart.
