Answer from the organisation's documents with citations, and remember what a person or a team has said across conversations.

ToolWhat it does
search_knowledgeSearches the agent's knowledge collections and returns matching passages, each tagged [chunk:<id>] for citation.
rememberSaves a durable fact about the person to long-term memory.
recallLooks up remembered facts relevant to a question.
remember_for_workspaceSaves a fact to the workspace's shared memory, visible to every member โ€” team decisions, glossary terms, conventions.

search_knowledge

Searches the agent's knowledge collections and returns matching passages, each tagged [chunk:<id>] for citation. When nothing matches it says NOT_IN_KNOWLEDGE, so the agent does not guess.

How an agent gets it. Added automatically when the agent names knowledge: collections. Declared with no collections, it reads the knowledge of the workspace the run is in.
